Our educators thoughts on the GraviTrax range

We stock GraviTrax because it transforms the traditional marble run into a lesson in physics and engineering. Unlike standard stacking runs, GraviTrax is built horizontally using a hexagonal grid. This requires children to think about momentum and height differentials in a completely different way, planning the path ahead to ensure the marble has enough energy to complete the course.

The inclusion of 'action stones'—like magnetic cannons and gravity hammers—introduces complex variables. We see children engaging in rapid trial-and-error testing, adjusting angles and distances to harness magnetic force. This is active scientific inquiry; they are formulating a hypothesis ('if I put the cannon here, it will clear the gap') and testing it immediately.

GraviTrax also scales indefinitely. As a child's understanding of the physics grows, the system expands with them. It appeals to older children who may have outgrown traditional building blocks but still crave a constructive, logic-based challenge. The precision of the pieces ensures that success depends on the design, not on wobbly connections.
