Our educators thoughts on the Building range

Building sets are the gym for fine motor skills. Snapping, clicking, and screwing parts together builds the exact hand strength and coordination children need for holding a pencil later. Beyond the physical, this play teaches sequential thinking—understanding that step B must happen before step C for the roof to stay on.

Our selection criteria focus on connection quality and versatility. Pieces must fit together firmly but be separable by little hands without adult help. We prioritize systems that allow for open-ended creation over single-use models. If a set only builds one thing and can't be reimagined, it doesn't stay in our range.
