Café play, one order at a time
Watch a three-year-old with a cup in each hand and you'll see the routine they've already absorbed from real life: the order, the handover, the "careful, it's hot." These wooden takeaway cups give that observation somewhere to go. One is for tea, one for coffee, and each has a lid and is the right size for a small fist to grip and carry.
What the play builds
From 3 years, children move from copying single actions to acting out whole sequences. Pretending to pour drinks, delivering them and asking "who's having the tea?" builds the early storytelling and turn-taking that later underpins group play. Carrying a cup in each hand without dropping either builds steady two-handed carrying and grip control. The sound is a soft wooden knock rather than a clatter, so it works in a lounge room or at a play table while you're on a call. It suits solo play as well as a game with a sibling or friend running the café.
Grows with the range
These cups are scaled to the wider Le Toy Van Honeybake collection, so they slot straight into the Honeybake Shop and Cafe, a market stall or any play kitchen. From serving a single drink at three, children move to taking orders, pricing items and managing a queue by five or six. FSC-certified wood and water-based paints mean the cups handle daily service and are easy to wipe clean between rounds.
