Load, haul, unload
Play starts with the trailer. A child pushes the tractor along, sets off with a load of hay bales, wooden blocks or a handful of farm animals, then unhooks the detachable trailer, parks it by the barn and starts again. Each trip has a clear start, middle and end, which gives children a natural structure for pretend play.
Hands and thinking
Hitching and unhitching the trailer, loading small items and steering the tractor all build hand control and a steady grip. Working out that the trailer must be attached before it can follow the tractor teaches cause and effect, and putting a job into order (fill, drive, unload) builds early sequencing.
Grows into bigger farm stories
At 3 years, play centres on pushing, loading and unloading. By 4 and 5, children add jobs and routines: feed goes to the paddock, animals go to market, and the tractor heads back for another load. Narrating each step builds vocabulary and storytelling. The tractor does not come with figures, so it pairs well with Le Toy Van Sunny Farm Animals or any farm set you already own.
Size and care
The tractor and trailer measure about 33cm long, 10cm wide and 13cm high, so it fits easily in a toy box or on a low shelf. It is made from FSC-certified wood, hand-painted with water-based, non-toxic paints. It is quiet on timber floors and carpet, works for solo or shared play, and needs no batteries.
