Their first set of wheels
Most toddlers want to ride long before they're ready for a standard balance bike. Tiny Tot is built for that gap. The frame sits low, the seat adjusts from just 21.5cm, and the wheels are small enough that a new walker can plant both feet flat and push off without a wobble. In trike mode, the three wheels do the balancing. Your toddler learns the push, glide and steer pattern in a stable setup. The alternating leg push is the same coordination they'll use later for walking longer distances, running and eventually pedalling.
Built for backyard and beyond
The EVA rubber wheels roll quietly on timber floors, pavers and smooth footpaths, so it works indoors on a rainy day as well as outside. There are no tyres to pump up and nothing to puncture. The smooth-glide ball-bearing hubs keep the ride easy for small legs, which means less frustration and more time riding. Soft-touch grips with hand protection bumpers give small hands something comfortable to hold, and the safety spoke design closes off the gaps where fingers and toes could catch. Outdoors, park it in the shade between rides and add a hat and sunscreen for summer sessions. The birch frame and water-based finish are easy to wipe clean. In trike mode it measures approximately 62cm long, 33cm wide and 38cm high.
Two stages, one bike
When balance and confidence arrive, an adult converts the trike to a two-wheel balance bike using the included axle and instructions. Now your child has to hold themselves upright, steer and lift their feet to glide. That is the core balance skill they need before moving to a pedal bike, and it means many children skip training wheels altogether. The seat adjusts up to 28cm to follow their growth, with a 20kg weight limit. Tiny Tot is the smallest bike in the Kinderfeets 2-in-1 range and is recommended from 12 to 24 months. Taller or older toddlers may be more comfortable on the Kinderfeets Tiny Tot Plus, which suits ages 18 months to 4 years.
