A Race With a Difference
Most board games pit players against one another, often leading to frustration or tears when the game doesn't go their way. In this farmyard adventure, the goal is shared: everyone wins, or everyone tries again. Players spin the spinner to move their polite pigs toward the County Fair, but they must navigate the board carefully. The challenge? Four mischievous piglets are roaming the farm, looking to splash in the mud. If the piglets reach the mud pit before the polite pigs reach the fair, the team loses.
Manners Make the Move
The core of the gameplay revolves around the Manners Cards. When a player lands on a specific space, they draw a card depicting a social scenario. The team must decide if the behaviour shown is "good" or "bad," then check the Manners Key to confirm their answer. A correct answer moves the team forward; an incorrect one might let the muddy piglets advance. This mechanic cleverly integrates social scripts into the fun, reinforcing positive behaviour through play rather than instruction. It provides a safe, low-stakes environment for children to practise the social niceties that smooth the way in the real world.
Designed for Early Game Play
The components are sized perfectly for preschool hands, with sturdy stand-up pigs and a clear, easy-to-spin spinner. The game length is calibrated for the 4-5 year old attention span—long enough to feel like an event, but short enough to maintain engagement. Because it requires reading the Manners Cards (or having them interpreted by a helper), it's an excellent bridge between simple luck-based games and more complex strategy games.
Measuring approximately 24cm x 24cm x 4cm, the box is compact enough to stack easily on a shelf or pack for a family holiday.
