First Rides, Feet on the Ground
There's a moment around 18 months when a toddler stops wanting to be carried and starts wanting to go somewhere under their own steam. The Tiny Tot Plus meets that moment. They sit on the cushioned seat, plant both feet and push, and the leg strength and coordination needed for walking and running gets a proper workout. There are no pedals to learn, so all the effort goes into steering, pushing and stopping.
The wheels are EVA rubber on smooth ball-bearing hubs, so it rolls quietly over concrete, pavers and timber floors. That makes it as useful in the hallway on a hot Australian afternoon as it is at the park in the cooler morning hours.
Built for the Next Stage, Too
Many ride-ons are outgrown the moment a child's balance improves. This one is designed for that shift. In trike mode, the extra wheel does the balancing while your child builds confidence. When you feel they're ready, it converts to a two-wheel balance bike, which is where they learn to glide, lean and steer by feel. That skill makes pedalling a bike at school age far less daunting.
The seat adjusts from 25 to 34 cm, so a toddler at the lower end and a taller four-year-old can both get their feet flat on the ground. The weight limit is 25 kg.
Size and Finish
It measures approximately 72 cm long, with 19.5 cm diameter wheels, so it is compact enough to store in a hallway, laundry or garage corner. The frame is painted and lacquered birch wood, finished with non-toxic, water-based paint and lacquer. Soft-touch grips and hand-protection bumpers cushion small hands, and the safety spoke wheel design leaves no gaps for fingers or toes to catch. It suits the ride-on child who loves to move but isn't ready for a traditional bike.
